PHILOSOPHY statement
I believe that all children should be respected as the tiny humans they are. Their needs, wants, dislikes ECT. Should be valued with great appreciation. They should not be expected to accomplish to much or to little. I believe that every child should have the opportunity to be understood, to find their strengths and the things they need a little practice with. A teacher should know each childs different learning styles and personalities and try to mold the way they teach that child to their own specific way. My philosophy is that everyday is a great and glorious opportunity to show children something new, or practice something learned. I believe imagination should be ignited in each child and kindled by the teamwork of teacher and parent. I believe that you should make a big (positive) deal out of the small things. A child who uses a word correctly. An infant who shakes a rattle or gabbers a few sounds. When children are in your care it is your utmost duty to make that child feel safe, loved, and help build their confidence! Parents should be as involved with their daily activities as possible. I am a big advocate of sending parents pictures of their little ones day. Make them feel involved, appreciated and that their opinion matters. I will handle every conflicting situation with immense care and professionalism as possible. I will observe the situation from all aspects/angles. Trying my best to make a decision that will either compromise or be in the best interest of everyone. With the child's needs always above everything. I will constantly push myself to do and be better, and I will expect the same from others |
